4月30日至5月1日,每天的14点到24点,2011中国乐谷国际流行音乐季[1]在北京平谷举行。加拿(Canadian)歌手[2]Avril Lavigne,好莱坞(Hollywood)女星Juliette Lewis,英国电音[3]公主Little Boots, KT Tunstall;来自中国台湾(Taiwan)的黄舒骏[4];内地女歌手姜昕[5]等数十位国内外艺人齐聚中国乐谷,共同献上了世界顶级水准的音乐盛宴。

中国乐谷国际流行音乐季的成功举办,推动了北京迈向国际性音乐文化中心。 平谷乐器[6]制造产业非常发达,目前提琴[7]产量占世界市场的30%左右,有"中国提琴产业基地"称号。2010年11月,北京市政府正式批准中国乐谷--首都音乐文化创意产业集聚区,中国乐谷被纳入北京市"十二五"[8]发展规划。

中国乐谷规划面积10平方公里(square km),预计投资150亿元。每年可实现产值300-500亿元,将产生巨大的经济效益和社会效益,是对接首都建设世界城市的重要文化产业。 中国乐谷高标准规划,高水平起步,把握"音乐的世界、欢乐的海洋"的理念。中国乐谷分为"YUE"谷(产业集聚区)和"LE"谷[9](文化休闲区)两大区域。

中国的发展呼唤中国乐谷,世界城市期待中国乐谷、首都文化孕育中国乐谷。中国乐谷将有飞速良好的发展。

On April 30th and May 1st between 14:00 and midnight, the 2011 China Music Valley International Music Festival was held in Beijing's Pinggu district. Canadian singer Avril Lavigne, Hollywood female star Juliette Lewis, English electronic music princess Little Broots, KT Tunstall, Huang Shujun who come from Taiwan, mainland female singer Jiang Xin and dozens of other local and foreign artists got together in China's music valley, together offering a music celebration in a high international level.

The successful organization of China Valley International Music Festival pushes Beijing forward as an international musical and cultural center. The Pinggu musical instrument manufacture industry is extremely developed, and at present, its output of string instruments occupies about 30% of the international market, and is referred to as the 'base of China's string-instrument industry'. On November 2010, Beijing's government has officially approved China Music Valley as a capital (district) in terms of concentration of industries associated with musical and cultural creativity, and as such, China's Music Valley has been included in the 12th Five Year Plan development program of Beijing city.

The plan for China Music Valley is that it will expand to an area of 10 square kilometers, with an estimated investment of 15 billion RMB. With an annual output value of 30-50 billion, it is producing a huge economic profit and benefit to the society, and is an important cultural industry, linking between the capital (Beijing) and other cities in the world. The high standards plan for China Music Valley and the high level of initiative, are realizing the concept of 'musical world, joyous oceans'. China's Music Valley is divided to the two big zones of 'Yue' Valley (area of industries) and 'Le' Valley (area of culture and leisure).

China's development is pushing China Music Valley forward. The world's cities look forward for the development of China Music Valley and the capital's culture nurtures China Music Valley. China Music Valley has a full-speed positive development.

[1] 2011中国乐谷•国际流行音乐季 zhōngguó yuè gǔ guójì liúxíng yīnyuè jì - 2011 China Music Valley International Music Festival - A new annual festival in 'Music Valley' an international musical industrial park which is being built in Beijing's Pinggu district, a zone which is known for its developed violin industry. China Music Valley International Music Festival is an event that reinforces the economic and cultural development of Pinggu district, as well as a method to improve its international reputation.

[7] 提琴 tí qín - String instruments of the violin family (viola, cello, violin, etc)

[8] "十二五" shíèr wǔ - 'The 12th Five Year Plan'. Five Year Plans (中国五年计划) are guidelines given by the NPC and CPPCC, concerning to economical policies and desired developments and their implementation during a five-year period. At present, China is entering its 12th 'Five Year Plan' (2011-2015), which so far has yet to be implemented. 

[9] The character '乐' can be read as 'le', meaning 'joy', or 'yue', meaning music. Both meanings are expressed within China Music Valley
