The Swimming World Championship in Shanghai concluded with an amazing world record by Chinese Sun Yang in the 1500 freestyle, smashing the oldest record in swimming:

[1]7月31日晚19点10分,在中国上海(Shanghai)举行的2011年世界游泳锦标赛[2]结束了男子1500米自由泳争夺[3],中国选手[4]孙杨[5]14分34秒14获得冠军[6],并且打破了澳大利亚(Australian)名将哈克特(Grant Hackett, former Australian swimmer)在2001年7月创造的14分34秒56的世界纪录[7]!孙杨赢得了他在本次大赛上的第二金,这也是中国游泳队[8]在本次大赛上获得的第五块金牌[9]。

在本次大赛中,孙杨一共获得2金1[10]1[11]四面奖牌。加拿大(Canadian)选手科克伦(Ryan Cochrane)以14分44秒46获得亚军[12],匈牙利(Hungarian)选手基斯以14分45秒66获得第三名。

Sun Yang won his second gold in this championship, which is also the 5th gold won by the Chinese swimming squad.

In this championship, Sun Yang has altogether won 4 medals: 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze. Canadian Cochrane won runner-up with 14:44.36 and Hungarian Gergo Kis won 3rd place with 14:45.66.

Sun Yang went out from lane 4, with American veteran Peter Vanderkaay in the adjacent lane 3 and Canadian Cockrain in lane 2. Sun Yang took the strategy of beginning with an accelerated speed.
