Regarding the first nuclear plant accident in Japan's Fu Island, it is possible that it has generated an effect on China. The country's authority of the National Nuclear Emergency Coordination Committee announced on April 3rd: The accident in the first power plant in Japan's Fu Island is tending to stabilize, though the situation is still severe. Parties concerned in Japan continue to adopt various measures, making efforts to control the expansion of radioactive pollution.
On April 3rd, infinitely low amounts of artificial radioactive nuclein Iodine-131 were monitored in the air of regions of 31 provinces, autonomous regions and province-level municipalities in China, originated in the pollution released during the accident in Japan. Among these regions, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Henan, Guizhou and Ningxia have simultaneously monitored even a higher micro amount of artificial radioactive nucleins Cesium (Cs)-137 and Cs-134. Results of sample tests of food products and drinking water weren't unusual.
The State Oceanic Administration, China's Department of Nuclear Safety and Health Department analyze, believing that the accident in the power plant in Japan's Fu Island will not bring about danger to China's environment and to the health of the public within its borders and there is no need to adopt any protection measurements.
