知名市场研究公司[1]IHS iSuppli 的一项最新调查显示，由于中国主要电信运营商[2]均准备升级服务，中国对4G技术[3]的LTE网络[4]投资额今年有望增加一倍，达到1亿美元，2014年中国投资4G网络13亿美元。各个电信运营商的网络升级计划，均得到了中国政府的支持。
在2011年，LTE网络的资本投资额有望达到1亿美元，约为去年的两倍；在未来3年内，对于仍将在全国使用的2G和3G无线技术[5]，中国的资本投资额将会大大减少。
报告称，作为中国最大的电信运营商，中国移动[6]有望于今年推行LTE网络。而且，中国移动已经与电信运营商Verizon 和沃达丰[7]合作，开始实施LTE网络试用计划。参与该计划的设备供应商包括摩托罗拉、诺基亚[8]等。该试用计划将在六个城市中实施，总共覆盖1亿多个用户。
IHS iSuppli 公司的调查还显示，目前，3G技术在中国无线资本投资中所占的份额最大，约为67%。但是，到2014年，它占中国无线投资额的百分比将会下降到55%。
A new research of famous market research company IHS iSuppli demonstrates that because all of China's major telecommunication operating businesses prepare to upgrade their services, the investment sum of LTE net in 4G technology is hoped to be multiplied this year, reaching $100 million and in 2014 China's investment in 4G network will be 1.3 billion. The network upgrade plan of each telecommunication operating company, have all received the support of China's government.
In 2011, LTE network's capital investment amount is hoped to reach $100 million, approximately three times the amount of last year. During the next 3 years, concerning the 2G and 3G cellular technology still in use throughout the country, China's capital investment sum would be reduced prominently.
Reports inform that as China's biggest telecommunication operating business, China Mobile will hopefully carry out LTE network this year. Moreover, China Mobile is already cooperating with the telecommunications operating company Verizon and Wodafeng, beginning implementing the plan of LTE network try out. Equipment suppliers which participate in this plan include Motorola, Nokia, and others. This try out plan will be implemented in 6 cities, covering more than 100 million users altogether.
The survey of IHS iSuppli company also demonstrates that at present, the portion of 3G technology among China's cellular capital investment is the biggest, approximately 67%. However, until 2014, its portion percentage among China's cellular capital investment would decrease by 55%.
