level 2

December 12th, 2010, 1410000 people who went through the qualification examination, attending the public examination for recruiting government employees, faced extremely severe tests, with a competition rate that has unexpectedly reached 88:1 (one worker accepted for every 88 tested). At present, altogether there are 137 units to apply for, approximately 16000 posts are waiting for a worker, so it can be seen that the screening is intense, a ruthless reality.

Is the national examination fever actually a good thing, or rather a certain kind of step backwards? In the modern society that upholds the self, there is a line of people that jump one after the other into the 'exam bowl'. Those with the head broken by the pressure also wants to go in through the 'official door', after all why is that? The most direct and representing reason is the fact that finding a job is difficult.

'Medical capsule apartments' and 'egg shaped woju' appear again and again. The ants are becoming more and more fierce concerning the thirst to survive in big cities . Brave words said when graduating or the beautiful longing for the future both cannot compete with the difficulty in finding a job and the existing ruthless reality. Giving up the free market sphere comes along with the hope to obtain a secure job.

The National Examination fever hasn't emerged in one night, but is rather a 7 year process, in which the number of examinees flared up by 16 times. Although the salary of government employees isn't high, they posses rich resources, while not facing any risks and enjoying the highest number of benefits, thus they experience more happiness than the so-called white collar workers.

The difficulty in finding a job cannot explain alone the deeper society problems that lay behind the National Exam fever'. The various kinds of advantages which government employees posses are appealing, incomparable with the advantages of the common people, therefore such positions are a seduction which cannot be refused. Since common people began to call government workers in question continuously, some say that government workers should not enjoy secure jobs, though the hope that the capable will be ahead, eliminated through selection, still exists.

In short, the existing questions concerning the National Examination fever are also hot discussion topics. After all, the phenomenon of the high number of people who wish to hold a secure hob is not normal. This demonstrates that the urgent thing in present days is strengthening the faith of the people towards the economic development and social stability, constructing a system with more insurance, making the market have a bigger developmental potential. Giving the people a bigger living space to realize the largest limit of justice
