| 《华尔街日报》[1]4月4日引述消息人士称， 4月2日迪士尼[2]公司与上海申迪集团已经发出邀请函，邀请外界在4月8日到上海参与一项特别活动。《华尔街日报》称，新华社[3]引用政府消息来源证实了即将开工的说法。
上海迪斯尼于2009年11月经由上海市政府宣布迪斯尼项目启动；2010年1月动拆迁工程启动；2010年7月完成动拆迁；2010年8月中方申请迪斯尼公司成立；2010年11月中美双方正式签署合作协议[4]。至2011年4月8日，上海迪斯尼完成了项目立项至开工的历程。
据《华尔街日报》报道，上海迪士尼乐园[5]占地3.89平方公里，大概是美国佛罗里达奥兰多迪士尼世界[6]（103.6平方公里）的1/26。根据3月9日浦东[7]新区政府、上海市规划和土地资源管理局[8]联合公示的《上海国际旅游度假区核心区控制性详细规划（草案）》，上海迪士尼乐园位于上海国际旅游度假区区域中心位置，占主体地位。
The Wall Street Journal has quoted a news personage on April 4th, who said that on Saturday (April 2nd), the Disney enterprise has already sent out an invitation letter to Shanghai's branch of the Disney group, inviting the outside world to come to Shanghai on April 8th (Friday) and attend a special activity. Wall Street Journal stated that Xinhua News Agency has cited government information as a source, with a statement confirming that (Disney) is about to open up.
The set up of Shanghai's Disney has been announced on November 2009 by the Shanghai's government; on January 2010, the project was underway; on July 2010 the set-up was accomplished; on August 2010, the Chinese branch of the Disney enterprise was established; on November 2010, the American and Chinese sides formally signed a collaboration agreement. Until April 8th, 2011, Shanghai Disney completed the project items to the level of opening it for the crowd.
According to the report by Wall Street Journal, Shanghai's Disney amusement park occupies a land of 3.89 square kilometers, about 1/26 of the American Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida (103.6 square kilometers). According to the government of Pudong's new district, on March 9th, Shanghai's Department of City Planning and Land Resources Management have promulgated the 'detailed draft plan for the core area of Shanghai's international tourism holidays'. Shanghai Disney amusement park is located in the center of Shanghai's international tourism holiday region, occupying a dominant role.
